I only got this because the Hitachi was back ordered, but I'm pretty glad I did. I was a faithful Hitachi user for years, but the VibeRite has changed my mind. It is nice to be cord free. I mean NICE. This is the same size and shape as the Hitachi, but feels noticeably lighter. Another plus, it has a clicky wheel for all the speeds rather than a switch. There is no greater way to harsh your mellow than getting to that magic place only to accidentally hit the switch and turn your vibe off (true story). The VibeRite is much harder to accidentally turn off. I also like that it's a color. It might just be me, but the white Hitachi always made me feel like it was somehow institutional - not sexy. The only con I can think of is that it must be charged. That's not a problem for me, but if you're forgetful you might not be real jazzed about having to wait 2 hours to charge it.

I went into the store looking for the Hitachi Magic Wand after using it and falling in love. I was worried about having to constantly being near a power source. This toy is great if you like power. It has seven speeds that are pretty easy to go through by moving the dial on the handle. It is cordless due to an internal rechargeable battery that does last a very long time. I use it solo or with my partner. Its head is large enough for mutual stimulation. The main back draws are there are not many attachments available because its head is so big and that it is not waterproof nor discreet. It is quite noisy.
