For over 18 years, Babeland has contributed to non-profits and organizations devoted to social change through our fundraising partnerships and community donations program.

Sex Toys for a Passionate World

You might wonder how buying a sex toy can change the world. While we like to joke that we're making the world a better place one orgasm at a time, we do try to go one step further by raising awareness and funds for causes that make a difference to our collective well-being.

Babeland's 2010 Donations

Because we have four retail stores and a website, our customers are not always aware of our philanthropic efforts, which is why we'd like to keep you updated on this page.

In 2010, we were able to contribute over $115,000 to over 300 organizations. The funds were allotted this way:

In 2009, we contributed over $90,000 to various organizations.

How Are Recipients Chosen?

We choose our recipients based on a variety of factors, most notably with input from our founders, our staff, and our customers. Not surprisingly, we are most passionate about efforts that raise awareness around issues related to sexual health, education, and sexual freedoms. However, you can't enjoy a healthy sex life in a vacuum (at least most of us can't), which is why we also support organizations related to the health and prosperity of our bodies and our planet. Here are just a few of the organizations we supported last year:

What's Going On In 2011

April: Eco-fundraiser for Gristl

Babeland raised $5730 for the non-profit environmental news site, Grist, in an eco-fundraiser celebrating the 41st anniversary of Earth Day.

June: Pride Fundraiser for Immigration Equality

Show your pride, and enjoy great sex! When you purchase the Sliquid Lube Cube, from June through December, $2 of your purchase goes to Immigration Equality, a non-profit whose missions is to advance equal immigration rights for the GLBT community.

July: Babeland Raises $22,000 for Sex Education

For the second year in a row, Babeland customers contribute in record amounts to the Sexuality Education and Information Council of the United States as part of our sex education fundraiser. Thanks to our fundraiser partner Jimmyjane for donating the gifts.

Come for a Cause Product Line Launches

When you purchase a product from our Come for a Cause Products, part of your purchase goes to an organization effecting positive social change.

Pink October Fundraiser for YSC

From now through the Spring of 2012, purchase one of our Pink October toys and we’ll donate 10% of the sale to the Young Survival Coalition, a non-profit dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors.

Holiday Fundraiser for Food Banks

This season, we’ll give you one more reason to feel good — with every purchase of an Orgasm in a Box Kit (available for $18 in Hers or His versions), we’ll donate $2 to Food Bank for New York City and  Pike Market Food Bank in Seattle. These popular boxed kits include all the toys the lucky recipient needs to get off, plus you save $10 when you buy the toys together in a kit.
