Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives proclaimed to SELF that she gave vibrators as gifts to her girlfriends.  "Longoria is such a cheerleader.  Her being willing to say it gives millions of women permission to explore it." says Rachel Venning, Babeland's cofounder.  "It's one thing if Dr. Ruth tells you to use a vibrator; it's totally different when it's a foxy star."
Claire Cavanah, Babeland's other cofounder, believes that women who purchase disguised vibrators are just looking for fun. "The new designs are often lovely, and they are, well, new." she says.  "I believe customers find this appealing; they see the latest in design and want it."
