I've been using massage candles since about 2004. I always try to have another "toy in the bag" to make a evening stretch out into full luxurious sensuousness. Up until Lelo came out with their candles, though, it was always a crap shoot with scents: I'd either have to go with unscented (nice... but bland, and hardly indulgent) or try to find one that wasn't too fruity/flowery (which was near impossible). What I loved about Lelo's massage candle was that the scents are decidedly *not* foofey. The black fig cardamom is my favorite (you can get it in stores). I've *never* had a partner object to the scent -- which is rare with masculine/of-center types whose first comment upon suggesting a massage is that they don't want to smell girly. (It really helps a partner soothe into the massage if they're not worried about that sort of thing - I can't say that strongly enough!)

DRAWBACK: The wick died when the candle had only burned about halfway down -- which sucks because these candles cost at least a third more than Babeland's brand, without lasting as long.

SOLUTION: I went to Amazon and bought some wicks - (12 for $5). Then, I put the candle in the oven at 250 until the candle melted and I could fish out the short wick. All it took at that point was setting the new wick in the candle and letting it harden. Seriously, it saved the candle! and now I have the whole other half to use!

I love this candle - it smells great, and giving a massage with warm massage oil feels amazing! It really does feel like hot-tub temperature (I was scared at first that it would feel too hot like hot wax, but it's just nice and warm). I also love the way it looks - sleek and sexy and black, but I can totally use it in my living room just as a regular candle without anyone being suspicious. Love it!

the candle and it's packaging are elegant...the scent is not super strong, which to me is a good thing...i lit the candle and it took more time than i expected to melt and turn into the oil...my partner enjoyed the feel of the oil...however it did get waxy fairly quick...all and all i did enjoy the candle...and it made playtime even more enjoyable...no burning of skin...and a good gliding for a sensuous massage...thanks babeland...:)

Lelo has surprised me with their other products, so I wanted to see how luxurious their Lelo Flickering Touch Massage Candle was. The box was elegant, and the candle was even more so. The pomegranate/black pepper scent comes in a smooth circular glass jar, with a metal lid and a colored plastic loop attached to the top for easy grabbing. So not only can you proudly use this in the bedroom for those deep massages, but you can showcase it on a shelf somewhere out in your living room. The contents inside are made from all soy wax and infused with vitamin E to nourish your skin when it's feeling dry during the fall and winter months, as well as moisturize -- which leaves a warm, subtle scent lingering afterwords. The scent combination may seem a little odd on the product page, but trust me, the pomegranate and black pepper is amazing, and no it won't leave you sneezing from inhaling too much! Each candle burns for approximately 36 hours, leaving you and your lover plenty of time to explore the joys of sensual massage with Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Candle. I have yet to use it for more than a few hours, so if you're like me, this candle will last you a while and is well worth the price paid! However, it can be a bit messy when pouring since the wax is going to drip down the side of the jar and then harden if you don't wipe it off. So, that's the only downfall to owning this massage candle. Hopefully, Lelo will adapt the pour spout into their massage candle for an even greater product. Other than that, I loved it!

Massage candles are one of my favorite inventions. That said, the Lelo candles are not the best I've seen, but they're still very nice, and convey a certain sense of luxury. The packaging is very sleek and interesting in a simple way. And the scent combinations may look a little strange, but they're deliciously sensual.

Massage candles are the best thing since sliced bread! I love this candle, and I never knew anything like this ever existed! You burn the candle to set the mood, and then blow it out and massage with it, it's genius! The smell wasn't strong at all, but the warm oil felt great to me and my partner, and I love the container that came with a lid to keep the dust out. This is a new favorite of mine!

The scent is good, not too strong. When used for massage it was waxy, but maybe I didn't let it heat up enough. I like the black candle holder but the wax dripped down the side and got kind of messy. I think I will just use this candle to set the mood and skip the massage.

I love these scents! I got all 3 because I couldn't decide on one and now I have a different scent to match every mood. The votive is really discreet and is at home on my dresser.
