My boyfriend and I recently tried Maximus for butt play. On bare skin it was fine, but both of us experienced an unpleasant burning sensation upon insertion. We didn't get past gentle finger penetration; the stinging persisted for several minutes until we gave up. Based on the reviews, it sounds like this is an individual thing - some people are sensitive to Maximus and some people love it. I'd recommend buying a sample-sized packet to find out which category you fit into. In other words, ladies and gentlemen, learn from my mistake: test-drive your lube :)

I am sensitive to most lubes but luckily I do not need it 98% of the time. That said my boyfriend and I got into fisting a couple of years ago via finger play using a sample of Maximus. He has large hands and it took a year of slow play before I could take his whole fist but it is now a regular once or twice a month part of our love play. This is due to the Maximus being thick, slick and long lasting. In fact we ran out a couple of months ago and decided to finish with another lube *BAD IDEA* His hand felt rough and it was incredibly difficult to get out. We did not have sex for more than a week after I was so sore. For the record we have sex on average 4-6 times a week and it took 2 months before I was willing to try fisting again and it will only be Maximus!

I used to be a silicone only girl when it came to lube for anal play. It seemed like it was the only type that worked without a ton of reapplication. However, that has all changed with Maximus. This stuff is great. Nice and thick and goopy so it does drip away as easily so it stays in place and keeps on working and working. and it's safe for all my silicone toys!

Maximus Lube is my ultimate favorite lube for anything having to do with my butt. Butt sex, butt toys, everything. It's super goopy and thick, and I find that it stays in place amazingly well, never drying out at all. I don't use it vaginally all the time, however, but every so often this works wonders with some of my more girthy silicone toys. It's a great lube, and if you're looking for something to make anal play easier and more pleasurable, this could be the one for you!

If you've been looking for a lubricant to ease your woes about butt play, then please look no further. Maximus is about the thickest and longest lasting you can get out of a water-based lube (so it's also compatible with all of your silicone butt toys!) It's so thick that it literally cushions the delicate muscles of the anus and lining of the rectum, so there is absolutely no friction, discomfort, or pain. This is the only lubricant I use for anal play and I'd never go back to anything else!

I bought the Maximus while looking for a thick lube that was was going to provide enough staying power and cushion during anal play/sex and I am not disappointed! The lube is highly viscous and has a fluffy, gel like quality which provides a lovely amount of cushion during anal penetration. That "fluffiness" also helps protect the muscles of the anus and helps prevent discomfort during penetration. The thickness also allows for a smooth penetration that is yet to be matched by any other lubes I have tried. It also lasts a LONG time, which I find essential for anal play. And I LOVE convenience of the pump with the larger size. Vaginally the Maximus works just as well, but if there are any microscopic tears present then it will sting a bit, so I usually designate it on my shelf as just a anal lube. Overall, The Maximus never fails my butt parts.

I bought this lube with a pump dispenser from another site, and this was the first lube that never burned me. Most lubes irritate me, I'm very sensitive and suffer from skin allergies, but I was surprised that this didn't bother me! I like that it's not sticky and it has a great consistency. It's not runny but not too thick. I can see this being a good anal lube, but we don't do anal...1 pump does the trick for my me and my man. This is amazing on my toys too, especially my glass! Try a sample to see if you'll enjoy it like I do.

My boyfriend and I (I'm a female), used this for a long time for anal, but it stings like crazy if using it vaginally...surprise! It doesn't mention that on the bottle. Somehow we didn't figure this out before buying a bigger size because you can't squeeze lube out of the little bottle, the plastic is too stiff. I would recommend this only for men/anal. It's not sticky and it last a long time, works great with silicone toys.

My partner and I got the 50 ml bottle, and while the lube itself was fine, getting it out of the bottle was literally almost impossible. It's made out of hard plastic and is therefore difficult to squeeze, but even when we managed to squeeze it we got almost nothing. To get any significant amount of lube out you have to shake it and slam it like a ketchup bottle and even that barely gives enough for one application. Make sure you get a pump of some kind or else this is basically useless.
