Although it looks like something your grandma would use on her bunions, the magic wand is widely considered the "Cadillac of vibrators." Intended as a legit massager, the wand is so powerful it made the lights flicker in my apartment when I plugged it in. No lie, this thing did the job in approximately 45 seconds, and when I was done I gave myself a nice shoulder massage. Pro: Raw power! I like that you don't need batteries, but you have to find an outlet close enough to your masturbation station to avoid awkward positions. Con: The Hitachi is almost too good -- it makes masturbation more of a science than an art.

My clit is very sensitive, so I used it at first with a folded washcloth between me and the head. Soon, though, I was using it straight up and getting off amazingly reliably. I keep a pile of fresh towels by the bed to catch the squirts. But after a year, it's dying! OK, granted at $1 per week it's cheaper than a date, but still....

I had been reading some reviews online in hopes of finding the perfect vibrator. I'm pretty new to toys and had never heard of the Hitachi magic wand, but wanted something that would deliver and not disappoint. It doesn't have much going for it in terms of looks, but the vibrations are strong and constant, tho you do have to move it around a bit to get some variation, I guess other toys do that for you by having vibration patterns, which this one does not. With the attachment it makes a great G-spotter toy however, much stronger than my other whimpy bullet toys. It plugs to the wall with a long cord which I find a bit awkward but I guess that's where it gets all its power. It was not too strong on the low setting, just strong enough, though I'm a little scared to use the high setting. It makes a good back massager too which is what it was originally intended for. Overall this makes for a great toy, effective and to the point, a must have in any burgeoning vibrator collection, tho doesn't get too far in terms of style.
