Great book! It includes a brief history of rope bondage, types of rope, how to care for rope, resources for rope, and illustrates instructions for 7 bondage techniques. The drawings and explanations are easy to follow, given you have the rope and a partner to try it on. After that, they are totally do-able with practice. Some of them are actually really easy to remember after practicing once or twice. Midori tells mini-erotica stories based on the positions covered, and offers great pictures for the imagination empowering the reader with new ideas for using these skills in a scene. Great visual for the eyes and imagination!

I love this book and I continue to learn from it. It's true that this is not a book aimed at complete beginners, but even a beginner can learn things from it if they are willing to take the time. You could find a partner willing to be practiced on and then slowly, methodically work through one of the ties here -- it's a fabulous learning experience. The book is also beautifully photographed. It makes rope bondage look like something both wonderful and within the reach of anyone.

I've never actually attempted any of these complicated and beautiful rope bondage techniques. Instead, I just thumb through and look at the mind-numbingly HOT photographs and I get so... distracted... that I never make it to the drawer I keep my rope in. The photographs are truly gorgeous, featuring the beautiful, *real* looking people of all genders and orientations in amazing and intricate rope bondage. Better than any erotica I own to get me hot-n-bothered.

This book is beautiful and thoughtfully written, although not a book for beginners. The instructions for rope bondage are easy to understand, but takes alot of practice to get good. To beginners, I suggest obtaining a beginners guide to basic bondage before trying to venture into this book.
