I was skeptical about bead type of toys. Purchased the small one. Small one is perfect when play begins. Smooth and soft but firm enough. Everyone needs one of these. Would recommend getting both sizes.

I wanted a toy that was versatile and completely friendly for butt-virgins like me and my boyfriend. The squishy, nonrepresentational and easy-to-sterilize Ripple fits that bill, and I got the Small (mainly so I could bend it around and tell him, "see? this is the least scary butt-toy in all the land!"). The smallest bead on the Small is slimmer than a finger, and going solo, I was able to insert all the beads on my very first try. (It's so slim that I'm afraid it'll fall out when I orgasm, but I like holding it in place -- especially by holding a vibrator to it! -- so I dunno if that's a legit worry at all.) If I leave it in the air after cleaning it, it attracts dust quickly, so I put it in a ziplock bag in my toy-box, and then it's still clean for next time. My boyfriend hears it praised so much that now he's getting curious about it too... hee hee hee :D

I decided to give it a whirl as butt beads. Now, let me say that with anything that goes into your ass, silicone is the best way to go because it cleans up easy and can be sterilized. Also, there are no seams on the Ripple, unlike those cheaper plastic ones that have to be filed down or else you'll tear up your anus (and you think a paper cut hurts!) The first bead on the Ripple is small, so insertion is easy, but they get bigger on down the shaft, the last bead being about twice as big as the first. At around an inch and a half in diameter, the last bead was a bit of a challenge, but once in, the Ripple stayed in place and my hands were free to try other things.
