My dh and I bought this because our old Vixskin type phallic vibe developed a separation on the seam and I couldn't stand the weird smell of it. (A cross between a new shower curtain and artificial strawberry candy.) I wanted something of quality, phallic shaped, and on the large size. My man is well endowed, it's what I am used to and size DOES matter to me. ;) (The whole "G Spot" thing escapes me, but I do like the shape of the Boss Lady, as it is realistic, despite the pretty pink color.) This baby is big. Dh looked at it and said "It's bigger than me." I don't think so, (I've measured both, they are nearly exactly the same size, but he's wider) but the "velvet" texture does require a little lube, unless you are really wet already. (We have had no problem with insertion at all.) We haven't tried it with a propylene condom, yet, but that might make it a little slicker. We had no problem with the batteries. It came UPS, my dh just brought it upstairs and ripped the box open. (We also bought a Wahl 7 in 1, which he had forgotten about, he looked at it and said, "Just what the hell do you want me to do with that?" LOL! So far we have only used that for back massages........so far) I told him some of the other reviewers had problems with the batteries using the Boss Lady, (of COURSE, we were out of bats and the rechargeables were not in the holder) so he ran out and got some (fastest trip to the store in history!) He had no problem getting the batteries in, and I messed with it and didn't have a problem either. "Good German Engineering!" was his reply to his first encounter with Boss Lady. I am just starting perimenopause and am on some meds which have made it difficult to reach climax. We wanted a good quality toy to help resolve this issue, and the frustration concerning the erratic way my body is behaving and also a toy for double penetration etc. As a woman who used to have a hair trigger orgasm ability, this issue is driving me crazy, and we are willing to try just about anything. We looked at the Hitachi, but it scared my husband. ("It ain't gonna fit." I tried to explain to him that the Hitachi isn't an insertable, but he was spooked, plus I didn't want something he wasn't comfortable with. I also don't know WHAT you are supposed to do with the rest of the wand during either oral OR intercourse with the Hitachi.) The first time we used the Boss Lady, the kids were back at school, it was the middle of the day, and afterward my dh said "I think the neighbors 2 doors down hear you!" (And we live in the country where the houses are not close together.) All three times, so far, I had to push the thing away after at least 5 or 6 orgasms in rapid succession, it was SO intense (but had more later, so it's all good) so I think this Baby is here to stay! It is still taking me longer than it used to, but I haven't FAILED to come with this toy yet. (That was a problem before and it was bringing me to tears.) Hope that good luck continues. So far so good, with the Boss Lady. I discovered the varying styles of pulsing actions by myself, and showed him last night, (he's an MAN, and I just wanted to play with the thing, and neither of us read the instructions) and we have had nothing but good luck with it. I like the light up button, so you can FIND the damn thing in the dark, and I love the size and heft of it. The texture is a little weird, I need silicone, as I am allergic to latex, and don't like the weird smelling odor of hot melt vinyl or Vixskin, and this toy is TOTALLY odor free. I am not sure why they made the "velvet" texture for this toy, but as the other features are really fine, I can overlook it. It is "splash proof" so you can wash it without removing the batteries, which is a plus, late at night, when all you want to do is go to sleep, not mess with battery compartments. (Our old vibe used to end up either not being cleaned until morning, (Frantically looking for it in the bed, at dawn, "Where the hell IS it?) or left battery-less, in the drawer because of all the fooling around you would have to do to remove the batteries and clean it. The seam separation in this guy was the last straw. We wore that guy out in 8 months, I am hoping the Boss Lady last a lot longer.) I think with a nice Propylene condom at times, this may become our favorite toy. Not only is it pretty, but it is intense, and FUN!

Not for beginners (or if it's been a few years, holy crap)

I've had a few hard plastic vibrating dildos with similar length, loved the nubby-G because of it's give and, well, because it's called the nubby-G for a reason... and after my bullet vibe broke, I figured it was time for another dildo because it'd been a year and half since I'd gotten any and my regular work-week clocks in around 70 hrs (social life, how I miss you!). I read the reviews, and thought hey! This dildo seems to fit the bill, what the hell, let's give a try. I'm not quite sure it's a mistake yet, but: It's thicker than you probably think it is. Really. Unless you're getting fucked by a porn star, or you've got, as it was put on Curb Your Enthusiasm, the huge vagina. It hurt to get the head in for me, and it took me three tries. And it's not a lube issue, I've got a lot in that department going for me (I have to usually put down a towel or two), it's that this dildo needs some adjusting to. The buttons are idiotically finicky. Yes, I didn't get one that's malfunctioning, and yes, the buttons do what they're supposed to, but generally only in if you find the one corner of it that actually activates the sensor. It was bad enough that I had to interrupt my proceedings just to pull the damn thing out and check the map coordinates to make sure I was hitting the + when I thought I was hitting the +. You should not feel lost while trying to get your vibrator to speed up. And while we're on the topic, the turbo is totally useless unless you're in max pulse mode. It doesn't do enough clitoral stimulation with it's design to replace having a bullet down there if you really need that to get off (I don't, fortunately, but that's not always -- or even mostly -- the case). It is really, really bendy. And it has a nice weight to it, it's firmness and texture are really organic for a non-lifelike dildo. It's good quality silicone. And the vibe's OK. I think the specs rate it as a 4/5, it's more like a 3/5, but it's OK. I didn't get off on using it as a dildo on my first go, and that was disappointing for me since that is possible for me to do. And I'm totally on board that a majority of that may have to do with my misconceptions regarding the toy (I was sore peeing afterwards for god's sake and walking like a virgin Peter North deflowered the morning after), since, objectively (and subjectively in some categories too) this is still a very good toy. I just come here, in peace, to hopefully prevent someone else from buying this and having a miserable first time at it too. As I said, this Boss Lady thingamajig ain't hitting the garbage can just yet, but it's back to the drawing board to see how it might actually fit my methods of masturbation without having me stop to read a good fucking book and walk funny for the next two days.

Good vibration, bad button design

I bought this one today. When I got it home and put in the batteries, the controls would not work. It would only vibrate on the highest setting and would not turn off or down no matter which button I pushed*. I thought I'd see if it would reset if I let it run to its battery-saving cutoff point (15 mins, according to the manual), no dice, since it didn't turn off. Very disappointing. *(This is what the Boss Lady does when the batteries are turned the wrong direction. Turn them around and enjoy!)

I've had my Boss Lady for a while now and it's perfect. I'm a petite gal, and with a little lube and some clitoral stimulation before insertion really makes a difference in intensity. I use this when I've had a particularly crummy day or I can't sleep and need to wear myself out. The girth is a little intimidating at first, but absolutely worth it. The person who designed the shape and texture was spot on--every time I use it, it bumps *that* spot inside me that makes my legs shake. The cycle vibes really make a difference, too. I really like these Fun Factory toys!

This vibe really offers a lot that most others do not. It is realistic enough to satisfy those looking for something more like a vibrating dildo - or something that is more realistic, but it is also more mod in style to appeal to those who want something big and pretty girthy, but not on the realistic side. The shaft is firm yet flexible enough to bend while inserted to get some external action while using it for penetration. The shape is well designed in that it also has a bit of a dip and curve upwards for slight g-spot vibration ( although not a good toy for super G spot action ). The head adds a lot as well. It is girthy and took some getting used to, but it is a great vibe. I love that it is hot pink and has great vibration settings as well. The buttons are easy to use and in a convenient place. Overall, a very sexy toy made by the tried and true Fun Factory. Yippeeeeee. I only wish it was rechargeable, they do make the Big Boss, but he's a bit too in large and in charge for me.

When I first got Boss Lady, I too was intimidated by her girth, but I quickly came to love her. Her variable speeds, silicone construction, and unapologetic color all endeared her to me, but within four months she died! It started by failing to turn on to full power (giving just short little bursts, which I was willing to work with), which I managed to fix by switching from rechargeable batteries to regular ones. Then, just a few days ago, she completely failed to turn on, leaving me alone and in mourning. Such a heartbreaker!

Boss Lady may take some getting used to, even for those of you in search of a larger vibrator, but she's worth every cent. Simple but effective design, high-quality materials, amazing feel. The various vibrations aren't very distinct from each other while inserted, but the Boss Lady still offers a great experience. I got the pink one and have had no problems. To turn it off you just press the - button. To turn it on you hold the + button. The vibration is just right and the turbo is awesome. You will most definitely need lube for this and always clean before and after use! It's not as huge as other reviewers said it was but maybe I'm just used to that size haha. I love the design and color. No complaints and I would recommend this :)
