We’ve been known to grandstand now and then so we’re getting up on our
soapbox and shouting through our virtual megaphone “Vote!”
The presidential election on November 4 will have a profound impact on
people’s lives, so whatever your opinions are on reproductive rights,
the war in Iraq, or environmental policy, make your voice heard by
casting a ballot in the election.
Registering to vote is easy online at JustVote.org.
Women comprise a powerful force at the polls, but in the last
presidential election nearly 22 million single women didn’t vote.
Currently there are 50 million women of voting age who aren’t
registered to vote. We don’t want our suffragette foremothers turning
in their graves, so we urge you to get out and do your civic duty.
Of course, if you want our opinion on how the current Administration’s
policies or the candidates positions affect reproductive, queer, and women’s rights, check out Babeland's Blog!
