Pornless in the USA

Dear Rachel and Claire,

At the moment there is no man in my life, so I get my release through self-satisfaction.  No problems there...sometimes solo is just sooooo nice.  You sure don't have to worry about being selfish! In the past when I have been with a guy they sometimes want to watch porn before or during sex and I've found that porn can sometimes increase the pleasure. So I've been on a quest to find porn for me...a heterosexual woman who's willing to try almost anything once and who can get really turned on watching a man and woman go crazy. What I've found are movies for men, movies for gay men, and even a few for gay women.  I know porn for straight women exists but I'm having no luck in finding it.

Signed,
Pornless in the USA

A:

Dear Pornless, Get yourself into something more comfortable, grab your remote, and get ready to turn on and get off! In the past five years an increasing number of pornographers have created sizzling work that puts straight women’s desires at the center of the screen. Traditional porn doesn’t spend very much time focused on female pleasure—neither on the screen nor on the set.  In women friendly porn the female characters have full lives, they have jobs, personalities—they aren’t just interchangeable bodies. Women’s stories are also at the center of the story and their pleasure is more visible and authentically portrayed than in porn made for men. A common criticism women have of straight porn is that the male actors are really unattractive—I think this is because pornographers don’t want to threaten the heterosexuality of their (mostly) male watchers who, god forbid, might get turned on looking at a sexy man. So women-centric movies generally cast better looking male talent.

Masque is one of our personal favorites. The superb acting in this flick is consistent and refreshing as is the portrayal of sexual heat and good humor amongst six friends who are itching to sleep with each other. An unforgettable story about giving voice to fantasies and having them fulfilled with lots of hot het sex and a truly notable lesbian scene.Veronica Hart’s Edge Play is also super sexy—a top notch.
