An Interview with Ti, Designer of Incoqnito's Jewelry/Sensation Toy Line

When we first laid eyes on Incoqnito's line of gorgeous, wearable sensation toys — rose gold and lambskin leather, anyone? — we immediately started hatching plans to buy up these gems for ourselves. Here, designer Ti tells us a thing or two about this covetable line of goodies.

First, for everyone who doesn't know, what's the idea behind these toys? What makes them different?

Incoqnito is a collection of intimate accessories inspired by the idea of being discreet, yet unapologetically sensual.

I didn't like how traditional sex toys have such a blatant aesthetic — think dildo-like forms, objects you have to hide when people are around. Personally, understatement has always been more attractive to me. I think understated sex appeal is simply more alluring and interesting in most things. So I wanted to create toys that are as lusted after as the act itself.

These products are different because these are sex accessories that you don't have to hide. They are discreet, yet also clearly for show. Our collection has the sensuality one would find in fine jewelry/accessories but with a naughty functional side for the bedroom.

How did the idea for the Incoqnito products come about?

I was inspired by my friends who didn't own sex toys, actually. The idea of being found out was just too embarrassing for some of them to even purchase one. So I wondered if it was possible to create tasteful, quality toys that were both functional and gorgeous and that you didn't have to hide. Most people have been pleasantly surprised by the collection, as its aesthetic was not what they expected. In fact, instead of being discreet, my friends who initially were shy about sex toys now proudly flaunt their accessories!

What's your most popular product, and why do you think it's such a hit?

I would have to say the Droplet Necklace and the Leather Hand Cuffs. Both not only look gorgeous as fashion accessories that only hint at their other purpose, but also function well as what they are: playful restraints and nipple vibrators.

What other ideas are in the works? What can we look forward to?

We have a vibe in the works that is the ultimate in discreet sex tech. This is definitely a vibrator that you can leave out and no one would ever know...
