Lube Shopping Guide

Looking for a lube that is... Try these Babeland favorites... and...
Simple and scentless? Babeland's own BabeLube, with only four ingredients, it is a great all around lubricant that happens to be the most gentle lube on the market (which makes it great for sensitive-skinned folks). It’s a tasteless, odorless, latex-compatible water-based lube. Babeland Lube
Looks as good as it feels? Pink Lube and Babeland’s Entice lubricant are both excellent lubes, available in stylish glass bottles which would be right at home on your vanity or beside table. Entice by Babeland
Just for men? This Boy Butter is a new H20-based lube which has single-handedly delivered many of our male customers into orgasmic ecstasy. It comes in a container that looks like a margarine tub, making it a perfect gift for my penis-loving friends. Boy Butter
Silicone-based? Silicone-based lube is long lasting, and doesn’t wash off with water (making it great for underwater sex). Try the upscale Pink Lube or Eros Gel, a thicker version ideal for anal sex. Note that even though silicone lubes are higher-priced than water-based lubricants, a little goes a long way, so the cost tends to even out. Eros Bodyglide
A tasty treat?!
Sliquid's buffet of slippery flavors include Green Apple, Blue Raspberry,  and Cherry Vanilla. Popularized in both men's and women's magazines, it is a tasty treat.

Made from natural ingredients? Botanical, water-based, paraben-free, and infused with Vitamin E, Emerita Natural Lube is compatible with safer sex barriers and all toy materials. Manufactured by Emerita, a woman-owned, woman-operated company that doesn't test on animals or use animal-derived ingredients. More sexy products by Emerita.
O'My
Safe for butt sex? Maximus —its super-thick consistency works well to protect and cushion delicate anal skin, and since it’s water-based and glycerin-free, it makes a great everyday lube as well. Maximus
Made from alternative ingredients? O'My is a great tasting water-based lube, no doubt thanks to the addition of hemp oil. Although you can’t smoke this lube it’s sure to leave you feeling great, and is available in a pump bottle to keep messes to a minimum. O'My
Portable, or just looking to try out new samples? Babeland's Lube Sampler contains single use packets of many of the lubes mentioned in this article. They’re so small you can carry one or two around for emergencies! They’re also a great way to try out a variety of lube types, so you can discover your favorites and then stock up on the full size bottles the next time you shop. Lube Sampler
Tingly and sweet? Babeland's newest addition to our Sliquid lube collection, that adds sensation to your lubrication. Sliquid Sizzle

Personal Lubricant 101

While there are many different brands of lube, there are really only a few basic variations on lube formulas. Water-based lubricants are the most common, as they are the healthiest for your body, are compatible with condoms and other latex products, and are easiest to clean up. Oil-based lubes are great for hand jobs, but will break down condoms, and are generally not recommended for internal use because it's hard for the body to wash them out. Silicone-based lubes are long-lasting and safe to use internally, but they can be harder to wash off and are more expensive.
