Comments about Babeland She Comes First:

My partner read this book at the request of who he was dating before me and let me tell you, it explains why he was so good with this mouth and his hands!

I'll say this: the book references a book familiar with grammar nerds and English majors. This may make a small amount of the analogies a little inaccessible, but ultimately it's a comprehensive guide that cis men who want to pleasure people with vulvas should totally take advantage of. The book does make a note of who it's written for, but people of all gender identities and sexual orientations can benefit from the core information it covers.

Comments about Babeland She Comes First:

As the title indicates, this book was written for the partners of cis women, particularly cis straight men. As such, it is full of gendered language. But the advice given is pretty solid. It covers the internal and external anatomy of vulvas (plus illustrations), tips specific to different points in the arousal cycle, and there is a heavy focus on cunnilingus. I loved the anti-body-shaming stance the author returns to throughout the book, making it clear that most of what prevents cis straight women from knowing and asking for what they need is our misogynistic and sex-negative culture. Author Ian Kerner even spends a whole chapter debunking Freud's nonsense theories. He doesn't shy away from starting hard truths (for a lot of straight dudes), like how penetrative sex on its own is not very likely to bring someone with a vagina to orgasm because most anatomy hotspots are located externally.

Aside from the language, I have very few gripes. The book definitely got a little repetitive, lube was barely mentioned despite being pretty essential, there was some questionable and poorly researched info about the g-spot. But overall I think this book could be very valuable to the straight cis men it was written for.

        Teaches a lot

Comments about Babeland She Comes First:

I really enjoyed how this book goes over the history of oral sex, the myths and the fears. The first half goes thru the history while the second half goes thru techniques. I admit I read the back first and tried it out, but after I rad the front half it made a big difference in how I performed the techniques. It did have lots of references to literature like the dust-gatherer" reviewer said, but the whole point of the book is excellent and has really helped me to understand the mysteries of the vulva."

intelligent, caring, non-judgmental and open book about how to craft a good environment for women and men to experience more play. i enjoyed his meanderings into the world of cliterati and like the tenderness with which he treats the fears of men and women about going down there. bravo sir.

        Dust-gatherer

Comments about Babeland She Comes First:

This guy is more interested in providing literary quotes and historical tidbits than in giving useful, relevant information about performing cunnilingus. He's pretty self-impressed (and boring) ... and clearly wants to write the Great American Novel instead of sex guides. Pass this up!
