Since I saw Chemistry 1 & 2 a few years back I've been game to watch, or read anything Tristan Taormino has put her mark on. Back then my porn consumption was predominately of the free, amature, YouPorn or XTube variety. Sessions on these sites clogged with the sort of POV porn in which you rarely, if ever, see a male's face, and every woman seems to be able to achieve a screaming orgasm in reverse cowgirl while her neglected clitoris is left out to dry, often left me a little bit more depressed than when I had started. And, isn't self-loving suppose to lift the spirits, and banish nasty insecurities? This led me to talk, long and loud, with many of my friends about how much I've always loved the idea of porn but could never, or very rarely, seem to find anything that satisfied my desires. Expert Guide to Female Orgasm stands right up there with the rest of Taormino's work.
The film opens with her conducting a workshop on female orgasm. As is her style she thoroughly covers an enormous amount of information. She talks about female anatomy (even involving a vulva puppet like Babeland's very own), theory behind the stages in female orgasm, clitoral orgasm, and g-gpot orgasm. She lets her actors pick their partners, decide what they want to do with them, and interviews all of the women about their own orgasms, asking them to talk about how, and when they achieve their orgasms, what they feel like, and how they might differ. To top it all off, she incorporates tons and tons of toys.
I'll admit, I developed a bit of a porn crush on this boy next door type porn star James Deen while watching this video. Upon further research, I found out he has raised quite the controversy because of the number of teenage girls out there who share my same crush. I guess I haven't changed much since I was 16. My favorite scene in the film involves Mr. Deen's dick, Madison Young, plenty of the beloved act of cunnilingus, an NJoy Pure Plug, AND a Hitachi Magic wand ALL AT THE SAME TIME (well more or less). That's what I call a mind blowing orgasm. Other great scenes include Jiz Lee's hairy legs and Adrianna Nicole's Black Dragon Gloved hand. I'm not being facetious. I do love me some hairy legs. Also, a little aside, if you fancy yourself a good laugh and can put up with some extreme vulgarity, check out James Deen's twitter feed. I swear, it even made me blush. Tristan Taormino certainly banished my porn blues years back, and continues to do so. The only time I find myself reflecting on that little bit of sadness that wells up in me from misrepresentation of women in porn is when I hear someone mistake Taormino for a man because of her name. I've never know a man who can make porn like this woman, and she looks so sweet and bookish while she does it!

This is a truly fantastic guide to female orgasm. To begin it all, Tristan Taormino gives an extremely comprehensive workshop on female sexual anatomy. This includes an enormous amount of information on theories of female orgasm and discusses the countless ways that people may experience sexual pleasure. The workshop is interspersed with the female actors giving personal accounts of their own orgasms. After the workshop, there are six very different scenes in which we see a large variety of toys, partners, and techniques that lead to what look like some truly awesome orgasms. DVD extras provide even more information: about safer sex, kegel exercises, and toy faqs. There is also a masturbation montage. All in all, this film is super inclusive, diverse, and sex-positive. A little something for everyone and anyone – from beginners to experts!

If you want to know "is that normal?" or want to know some of the various ways that women orgasm, this DVD covers it! The movie starts off with Tristan Taormino talking about the various ways that women orgasm, how to talk about orgasms, how to orgasm, and tons of other information. She makes it fun with diagrams and clips from the movie. After that, the DVD progresses into five different sex scenes with popular porn stars who have great chemistry. A major love from this movie is how the attention is focused on the female's orgasms, but the guys also get to enjoy some pleasure with intercourse and blowjobs. Of course, there are tons of toys in here as well! If you want to learn more about female orgasms and enjoy some hot porn, I'd recommend this.

I had a hard time picking which porn I wanted for my bf and I. He's a little gun shy when it comes to sex, so I didn't want to scare him off. This DVD sold me with its soft-core, gentle instructions and its concentration on couples who are legitimately into each other. We watch it a little bit at a time, but the first 10 minutes of the DVD was a bit boring. The girls talked about what kinds of orgasms they experience, and the guys talked about how they know a girl is going to orgasm. I asked my bf what he thought, and he had a very positive attitude about it. While he thought the first bit was self-explanatory and unnecessary, he wasn't turned off by it, and is interested in watching more. He was a little iffy by the fact that some of the couples aren't attractive, but I think it's great they have real people and not raunchy models doing this porn. All-in-all, I highly recommend this, especially for beginners. The combo of porn/sex education video is really helping us out! This is really helping us see how to help me achieve orgasm, how to use toys and what other couples do in the bedroom.

Tristan Taormino can really do no wrong, in my book, but her Expert Guide to Female Orgasms is definitely one of her best videos. The first part of the video is Tristan talking about the anatomy of the female body, sexual response, stimulation techniques, and toys, among many other things. She is informative, engaging, and makes things very easy to understand. What I also love about this video is the interviews with her performers. They talk about what orgasms feel like to them, and it's really great to hear how each person's experiences vary. To top it all off, the sex scenes are amazingly hot. These women are having a good time, and I think that the fact that they're actually enjoying themselves (immensely, it seems like) makes the video even sexier. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in the female orgasm, and anyone interested in seeing it achieved in a variety of ways.

The last reviewer is spot on with their assessment of this film. The opening is comprehensive and engaging; Tristan is a great speaker and educator. I also like that the interviews with the stars are incorporated, though I would like it even more if they were filmed together (as pairs). There is clear negotiation happening in the scenes (such as with Dylan Ryan and Mr. Marcus) and a great use of toy favorites, like the Hitachi and the Pure Wand. It's shot in a very realistic lighting that it hot, without being overdone. I also like that there's something for everyone: different positions, different toys, different bodies, different pairings. It's a well blended mix of education and hot sex. Worth a watch for any person interested in learning more about the sexual pleasure of female bodied people!

This video starts out with a detailed workshop by director Tristan Taormino - covering pretty much everything you need to know about female anatomy, sexual response, toys, desires and fantasies - sprinkled with comments by the stars about their own experiences. After the workshop, each couple has an interview followed by a sex scene focusing on female pleasure and orgasms - and it's really hot! I appreciate that they incorporated racial diversity and "real" bodies - not one of these women appears to have had breast implants, and their bodies are all different. At the beginning of each scene it becomes clear that the stars got to choose their ideal partners for this film, which makes for really fun, charismatic pairings. I love that the male (and female) stars are very attentive to their female partner's pleasure and that they all seem to be genuinely having a great time! I would highly recommend this film for anyone who is learning about female orgasms (which really is most of us!), anyone who is new to porn or wants to incorporate it into their sex life, or anyone who just wants to watch women have hot, real orgasms!
