Basic but no bad - December 26, 2013

Astroglide is one of those lubes that everyone has heard of so naturally it was the first kind I grabbed. It's thin, not goopey and doesn't feel sticky. My only problem is that is does have a slight taste and I prefer something taste free.If this does't do it for you, I would try Sliquid h20 which is taste free!

Astro FINALLY with no glycerine! - November 3, 2009
Reviewed By: Anonymous

We loved loved loved loved Astroglide regular formula. For intercourse, anal, toys, manual, solo play, anything. But, I started getting both urinary and vaginal infections and The Man started getting "itchy" (with rough spots, my guess would be a yeast infection) and I read (in the data which came with our first order from Babeland) that glycerin can cause such symptoms in some people. So, not being able to find anything fun in a non glycerin lube, we went back to KY jelly, which is fine, but kind of Clinical, in my opinion. Like going to the Gyn. Found out Astro makes a non-glycerin lube, bought some and we, well, we like it a lot. It's slippery-er (is that a word) than KY, but doesn't last as long as the regular Astroglide. But, it gets the job done, even if you have to re-apply. It doesn't taste weird, it doesn't smell weird (I'm an adult, I want sex to smell and taste like SEX, not like a strawberry or a vanilla brown sugar cookie, or a Halls Menthol coughdrop or anything else other than SEX.) It works, I wish it came in a GEL, as it is rather watery, that would probably require using ingredients which are more irritating. It also doesn't seem to stain sheet, clothing and is safe with all toys. That's a plus for most of us. It's nice to have the Astroglide back in the head board cubby. If you have a problem with glycerin (or have been getting vaginal or urinary tract infection and are using a glycerin lube) try the NON glycerin Astroglide. It's nice, and slippery and wet and most likely won't irritate.

good for strap ons - January 21, 2009

I have been using it on our strap on. We use a "double lube" routine. I lube my husband's rectum with K Y and coat the dildo with astroglide. He has not complained. I guess for anal play their could always be a better lube. If anyone knows a better anal lubrication method please do share it.

Pretty Good - January 13, 2009

I'd tried other kinds of lube before and they've always irritated me, so I decided to try Astroglide's paraben-free, glycerin-free formula. Talk about a staple on my nightstand. It doesn't irritate me, it's nice and slick and it doesn't dry sticky, plus once it's in place it promotes my own natural lubrication to start working! The only downside of course is a downside of all water-based lubes -- it evaporates rather quickly.

Quite Un-natural and synthetic - October 5, 2008

I have a hard time with glycol ingredients just as I do with glycerin, so while I do enjoy the fact it's glycerin free ... Still leaves me irritated. I have found other glycerin free lubricants that work much better for me like sliquid or hydrasmooth.

nice new formula - September 3, 2008

Astroglide has always worked for me, once I learned how to work with it. A little goes a long way! But it never worked for my girlfriend who has a sensitive coochie, too irritatin. But she tried the new glycerin-free formula and so far all has been fine.

Not bad, but better lube is available - January 6, 2008

I like Astroglide, it's a staple on my nightstand, but I do prefer the gel, which is thicker and stays in place better. No problem with yeast infections at all, partner likes it too. For oral I prefer the flavored version though. As for getting sticky: that is a downside with ALL water-based lubes, since water evaporates after a while. just freshen up with some water and you are good to go on and on! (Ice cubes are a fun alternative!

never lets me down - November 15, 2005

astroglide is one of the first lubes i ever started with back in the day when i first started my sexplay, and i keep coming back to it. i've tried others, but prefer astroglide. absolutely great with my toys! never gets sticky, goopy, thick, or dries out (i don't have to reapply). also, it recently made my first anal encounter with a lover quite pleasureable and smooth! this will always be a great mainstay. never have side effects like i have with other lubes like pussy tingling (and these other lubes were vegan and all natural!) and drying out. i love it!

I found astroglide to be the perfect lubricant for me and my toy vagina called the fleshlight. It's very light and very slick.
