Good content, frustrating language - July 19, 2017

Despite the titular focus on orgasms, much of I Love Female Orgasm gives vulva-owners and their partners ideas for exploring their bodies and sexuality in general, and how doing this work ultimately leads to more frequent and satisfying orgasms (with and without a partner). I would say this book is best for folks who want to explore their own sexuality more but aren't sure quite where to start. It's packed with extras on anatomy, history, trivia, surveys, and tricks. Both clitoral and g-spot orgasms are covered, along with other miscellaneous topics like sex toys, anal play, barriers, and lube. I Love Female Orgasm was written by two bisexual folks in a hetero relationship, and despite a claim in the introduction to be "allies to transgender, genderqueer, and intersex communities" the book is uses very gendered language throughout and justifies it with a weak apology. Bisexual and lesbian women are very clearly an afterthought, getting a short, strange chapter at the end. It's hard for me to recommend this book because so much of the ground it covers is addressed in other books, without as many cringe-worthy heteronormative ideas and language about sexuality and gender.

Good starting point for beginners - May 1, 2017

This is a non-intimidating intro to orgasms with a vulva, that delves into multiple techniques and approaches. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking their first orgasm or adjusting to new circumstances (like anti-depressants that make it harder to climax, for example). Be aware that this book uses gendered language around genitalia. Otherwise, it's full of useful information.

This book is a wonderful and much needed text on female pleasure and sexuality. Thoroughly researched and written, but written in a straightforward manner. Everyone who wants to pleasure a vulva (whether it's their own or someone else's) should read it. It covers topics such as: what is an orgasm, masturbation, oral sex, g-spot, advice for anal play, and a section devoted to tips for safer sex and birth control. This comprehensive guide is sure to answer many if not all of your questions regarding female orgasms.

I absolutely, absolutely love this book! On the subject of female orgasms, it's hard to find a better guide! The authors write about things in an honest, but yet fun, manner, and it's educational without being boring. The authors stand by the "Orgasms are awesome, but they aren't the focus of sex" standpoint which is great to see, and there are sections about including your partner in on the fun as well. Not only that, but there are neat little "real-life" quotes from people from their seminars as well as who responded to their sex survey. There are tons of neat, fun facts too. Seriously: If you want to learn about female orgasms (and ejaculation, toys, the g-spot, how to pleasure her orally/manually/etc.), I'd have a hard time recommending any other book than this one.

This book has lots of great information written in a straight forward, yet humorous manner. I love that each chapter gives a partner tutorial, so that you can learn together. Whether you are new to the subject, an old-pro, or in a new phase of your sexuality, this book will have something to teach you.

I absolutely love this book, and so does my boyfriend. It's funny, interesting, and very sexy. It is filled with expert advice and comments by real people, so if your sex-life doesn't seem to fit the one-size-fits-all definition of sex you learned in school, this book will address your needs.

This is the best book I have read on this subject ever (and believe me, I've read a lot)! Queer-friendly (but het oriented) and well written.
