THE BEST Lube - and I've tried 'em all - April 13, 2012

I LOVE Sliquid Silk - it's my absolute favorite and I'm so happy I found it, after years of not-that-great drugstore lube (K-Y? meh). The Babeland staff in Seattle recommended this one to me a while ago and said it was a "staff favorite", so I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did!! It's super long lasting but doesn't linger weirdly like Silicone lube does, it's safe to use with all my silicone toys, and it feels amazing - not sticky or tacky, nice and silky smooth. Best of all, I love that it is vegan, organic, glycerin and paraben free, and hypoallergenic! My ladybits say thanks, Sliquid!

The dead-simple, health-affirming ingredients list would make you think it's not as awesomely effective as it is. So silky!

I find that a lot of silicone lubes irritate my skin. I have used the water based version of this lube (which is my most favorite ever) and thought I would give this a try. The texture is creamy at first but then turns into that silicone texture. Great for hand/blow jobs, masturbation and cunniligus.

This lube is made really really well! It is a hybrid meaning that it is part silicone and part water based. The texture is divine- silky smooth, long lasting, and completely compatible with natural body fluid! If you have sensitive skin, are looking for an organic lube, AND want something glycerine and paraben free, I highly reccomend this lube!! Try it. Do it.

Not for me, afterall - August 25, 2009

I tried this lube after talking with one of the girls at the Seattle store, and liked that it contains some organic ingredients, is glycerin free, and is thicker than what I've used in the past. However, I found it to lose it's slick pretty quickly, and the stickiness was the least tolerable of what I've known with other water-based lubes. I'm also pretty sensitive to certain products, and this happened to be one of them that burned a little.

Technically it IS organic... the ingredients contain carbon.

Question on Silicone - May 9, 2009
Reviewed By: Anonymous

I've never tried a silicone lube before; I love the O'My but I notice that as with other water-based lubes, it dries up and needs to be reapplied fairly often. I am not sure that I want to switch over to a totally silicone-based lube, but this one seems pretty good (and I love that it's organic!) What would you folks at Babeland say would be major differences between Silk and Pink (other than silicone content)? (I am trying to decide between the two) Thanks for your help! *********************************************************** Pink lube and all pure silicone based lubes are a thinner more oily consistency and are not compatible with any 100% silicone or silicone hybrid toys as the lube will cause the toy will melt as they try to chemically bond. The Sliquid Organics Silk seems to play well with all toys when product tested, probably because the silicone content is very minimal. The biggest difference between the two is the texture- the Sliquid Organics Silk feels more like a water based lube and is water soluble but is longer lasting; Pink lube is an oily consistency that won__t dry out at all and requires soap and water for clean up. Both contain skin conditioning vitamin E and Aloe. Hope that helps! - Babeland Staff

First of all, thank you for bringing this absolutely fabulous lubricant into your stores (we were/are totally hooked on the sliquid silk blend). This one is a bit less obvious that it is indeed a lubricant, and we love that there are organic botanicals mixed in. It feels wonderful, and lasts for a decent amount of time. Secondly, I read there are other sliquid organic blends, will you be getting those in as well? We shop on your website if we can't get downtown. The devil's in the details! - January 26, 2009

Excuse me... Sliquid Organics? You must be kidding! Isopropyl Palmitate, Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone, Emollient Ester, Phenoxyethanol (Rose Ether)... none of these ingredients would EVER qualify in a real organic product! Not only is this product not even remotely ORGANIC, it doesn't even begin to qualify as natural. It's loaded with nasties. What a fraud! [Note From Babeland: A silicone lube cannot be fully organic, but what this product is offering is a silicone-blend lubricant infused with organic botanical extracts. Sliquid products are always vegan, never tested on animals, and always glycerin and paraben free.]
