In case you wanted to brush up on your non-porn lesbian movie scenes, AfterEllen has put together a very comprehensive look at some of the best scenes of all time. I haven't seen many of the ones further down the list but picking Bound and Gia for the top two are something I can agree whole-heartedly with. Although I don't care much for Jennifer Tilly, Bound started a long-running love affair with Gina Gershon (I think I still have photographs on my hard drive) and I admired their guts and authenticity.And then there's Gia. Say what you will about Angelina (I know passions run high regarding her), she's made some of the most incredible lesbian scenes in Hollywood. Starting with the Tattoo scene in Foxfire (ok, no explicit lesbian action, but come on!) and including Girl, Interrupted. Gia, however, is an amazing portrayal of someone who just loves - boy or girl. Her scene with Linda is still one of the steamiest scenes ever shown on cable TV. I remember watching this film as a teenager - it was one of the first depictions of nudity I ever saw (I had no older brothers to leave porn lying around) and it was certainly the first explicitly lesbian scene I saw.Although the porn industry has made its share of bad movies, lesbian scenes that are as hot as the one in Gia are around - sometimes you just have to hunt a little to find them.
