candleSelling sex toys sometimes puts you in an interesting predicament when it comes to explaining what you do. Whether it's your Aunt Edna at Thanksgiving or a random stranger, it isn't always easy. What most people don't realize is that phone companies, electricians and other services also have to know what a company like Babeland does. Sometimes, they don't care, but sometimes they do very much.An auction of inoffensive items from several stores including Babeland was pulled off of eBay recently. Why? The charity decided that money spent on sex toys wasn't good enough for them. Teaching children how to read can only apparently be done with non-sex-toy money. I'm not going to go into all of the ways that this bothers me, but it's just one more instance of how sex-toy shops are policed and ridiculed everyday. We're still here though, fighting to make sex toys and sexual empowerment as mainstream as McDonalds (and much better for your health!)
