Have you ever noticed that when you watch porn, there's a bit of text before the film that says that all of the performers are over 18 and has a name and address of the person responsible for keeping those records? The laws that regulate this process are called the 2257 regulations and currently, Congress is trying to change them and make things even more difficult. The new 2257 regulations would mandate that every producer send all of the records for every performer in that film to anyone to whom they distribute the film. It would also mandate that internet websites display production information on every single page, not just the home page. For websites that combine multiple shoots into one page, this is a headache beyond imagination. Additionally, to release the personal information of every performer opens everyone up to identity theft in unbelievable amounts.Of course, these regulations aren't around just to "protect models". As Kink.com says:
It is felt by many that among the numerous reasonable proposed changes, there are hints of censorship and hidden agendas that serve no purpose other than to intimidate models and incapacitate smaller producers.
Kink.com has made a fantastic (and hilarious)
video (NSFW) about this issue. Give it a look and sign the petition against these regulations.View the regulation text here at
