First off, your toys should always be thoroughly cleaned before you store them, for hygiene and safety as well as to keep your toys looking and working like new. 

If your toy has a motor, you should either run out the charge or remove the batteries before packing your toy. Some toys have a travel lock on them - check out the included instructions that come with your toy to learn how to engage that feature.

If your toy is going in a checked bag, store your toy in a clear bag and pack it towards the top of your luggage so that TSA can clearly see what it is without having to dig or touch the toy directly.

When packing liquids, like lubricants or massage oils, follow the 3.4oz rule for carry-ons, or pop your lube in your checked luggage. Putting your lube bottle in a plastic zip baggie or taping the lid can help prevent accidental spills.

Packing a vibrator in your carry-on for a domestic weekend away likely isn't going to be an issue, but it really depends on what you're bringing and where you're headed to.

Some countries have restrictions on and laws against the possession of sex toys (like Thailand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Maldives, and the UAE to name a few) - and that applies no matter how small or discreet your pleasure products may be.

Also, some sex toys - like impact toys, e-stim devices, or large metal toys - can be considered a weapon. Understand that these items may be confiscated for safety, and could potentially compromise your travel plans.

Here's the thing - TSA is thorough, and for good reason! They're here to keep passengers safe, and are on guard to make sure that nobody is trying to bring through anything dangerous or illegal, and (with the exception of some restrictions mentioned above) sex toys are not one of those concerns.

If you're packing your toy in your carry-on, consider opting for something small so that the scanner doesn't flag it, or store it in a discreet satin bag or makeup case - just know that if the bag isn't clear, TSA may need to open that bag to check the contents.

If you get questioned about the more personal contents of your carry-on - be chill, be honest, and own it. Remember, TSA agents see the insides of a LOT of luggage, and so it's very, very likely that yours is not the first "personal massager" they've seen on the job.
