Anal Toys

Anal-friendly and anal-safe are terms letting you know that a toy can safely be enjoyed for anal penetration. This means that your toy is made out of a body-safe material, and that it has a flared base. Having a flared base means that the bottom of the toy (the handle or the base) is significantly larger than the part of the toy intended for penetration to ensure that the toy remains anchored outside of the body for safe and easy removal. Not all insertable toys are recommended for anal use, so make sure that your booty toy meets these safety needs before you explore! (BTW - all of the toys in our anal section are educator-approved for anal play!) 

When it comes to exploring anal and using butt toys, there are a lot of folks that will never give it a go because of the persistent myth that anal sex is painful. Using anal toys shouldn't be uncomfortable or painful - if you find that using a toy hurts, it’s more than likely that there’s an easy fix: try starting with a smaller toy, going slower (take your time when you're first trying booty play!), switch the position that you're in, and always ALWAYS make sure you're using plenty of lubricant with your anal toys.

Anal play isn’t specific to any one gender, sexuality, or body type - it has potential to be enjoyed by anyone! There are a ton of nerve endings around and inside the anus. and all those nerves mean possibilities for so many ways to experience anal play. Through penetrative anal play (like anal sex or using an insertable anal toy like a butt plug or dildo), you can stimulate internal hot-spots like the prostate or G-spot. The rim of the anus is also super nerve-dense, so sensations like vibration or rimming can be great ways to explore pleasure externally as well!
